C-Spine — Stabilization

This patient's cervical spine has been surgically stabilized with screws and wire.

Two pedicle screws and stabilization wires are seen in relation to the bony anatomy. This posterior/anterior view was reformatted from 44 axial 1.5 mm CT slices. It shows bilateral 4.3 cm screws in C1 & C2 (the first and second cervical vertebrae). Note the wires used to fasten the posterior elements of C1 & C2 to complete the fusion.
